We report aging-induced transcriptional alteration of mouse intestinal epithelial cells. Our analyses revealed that age-related changes occur in a cell-type-specific manner. Intestinal epithelial cells were isolated from three young (3-month-old, all male) mice and three aged (22- to 26-month-old, all male) mice. After dissociating the intestinal epithelium into single cells, the libraries were generated using Chromium Next GEM Single Cell 3ʹ Kit v3.1 (10X Genomics) from randomly captured intestinal epithelial cells and sequenced using Illumina NextSeq500. We profiled 10,844 cells (5,135 and 5,709 cells from young mice and aged mice, respectively).
