MicroRNA signature in skeletal muscle in insulin resistant rats

The current study aimed to address the hypothesis that programmed expression of key miRNAs in skeletal muscle mediates the development of insulin resistance, and consequently long-term health. We thus examined microRNA signatures in skeletal muscle of programmed insulin resistant rats offspring from high fat-fed dams vs control offspring from chow fed dams.本研究旨在验证如下假说：骨骼肌内关键微小RNA（microRNA，miRNA）的程序化表达介导胰岛素抵抗的发生，并进而影响机体长期健康。为此，我们对比分析了高脂喂养母鼠所产发育程序化胰岛素抵抗子代大鼠，与普通饲料喂养母鼠所产对照组子代大鼠的骨骼肌微小RNA表达谱。
