This dataset primarily covers Northeast China, Eastern China, Central China, and Western China. It documents the basic demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of China's floating population at the regional level in 2014, including population counts and column-wise percentage distributions across various classification intervals for indicators such as sex ratio, age structure, domicile registration location, current residence, ethnic group, educational attainment, household registration type, and marital status. The data is stored as Excel-formatted attribute data, sourced from the 2014 Dynamic Monitoring Survey on Floating Population conducted by the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People's Republic of China, and was subsequently processed and refined using STATA statistical software.
