资源简介:
Grecìa Salentina (ta dekatrìa chorìa in the nineteenth century) is the residual Hellenic-speaking area of Salento that for several decades has become aware of its identity, and the municipalities that constitute it act together in the Union of Municipalities Grecìa Salentina. The qualifying element of the identity is the ancient language of Hellenic origin, Griko, still spoken today by the elderly. The cultural revival of the area gave the impetus to attempt an economic revival as well, with ups and downs. Scholars, then Cultural Associations, then Public Administrations have been active in fostering the process of growth, which began decisively with music and folk songs in the 1970s. Many publications in Italian, Griko and Neo-Greek have accompanied and punctuated the times of revival, which nevertheless proceeds in waves, like the sea.
