A new Co(II)-based coordination polymer {[Co(ttpa)(1,4-bdc)]·H2O}n (1) as well as its nanoparticles (denoted as nano 1 hereafter) have been synthesized using hydrothermal and hand grinding methods (ttpa = tris(4-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)phenyl)amine, 1,4-bdc = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate). Furthermore, the protective effect of nano 1 on acute viral myocarditis mice was evaluated. Firstly, the CVB3-induced acute viral myocarditis model was successfully constructed and then nano 1 was given for indicated treatment. The in vivo activity of nano 1 was evaluated with mice survival rate and the CVB3 titer determination. The level of the inflammatory cytokines in the mice after treatment was measured with enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection kit.
