Study on the mechanism of gut microbiota mediating the occurrence and development of polycystic ovary syndrome

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a prevalent endocrine disorder with unclear etiology and pathogenesis. It is characterized by hyperandrogenism and ovulatory dysfunction, as well as accompanied by the dysbiotics of gut microbiota. However, the specific microbial mechanisms regulating androgen metabolism remain elusive. In this study, we systematically assessed the anti-PCOS effect of A. onderdonkii (AO) and its influence on gut microbiota.
