Suomi-NPP VIIRS Level-2 Regional Triple-window Sea Surface Temperature (SST3) Data, version 2016.2

SST_triple provides sea surface temperature retrieved with a triple-window thermal-infrared algorithm that combines three atmospheric “windows” (typically near 8.6 µm, 11 µm, and 12 µm) to better correct for water-vapor effects compared with standard split-window SST. Geophysical variables in this suite include: - bias_sst_triple — Triple-window Sea Surface Temperature bias (°C) - flags_sst_triple — Product-specific flags, Triple-window Sea Surface Temperature (integer bitmask) - l2_flags — Level-2 Processing Flags (integer bitmask) - qual_sst_triple — Quality levels for Triple-window Sea Surface Temperature (integer quality flag) - sst_triple — Triple-window Sea Surface Temperature (°C) - sstref — Sea Surface Temperature reference (°C) - stdv_sst_triple — Triple-window Sea Surface Temperature standard deviation (°C)
