Framing Legitimacy through GenAI, Media, and the Social Influence of IKN Discourse in France and Indonesia

This dataset supports the research project “Framing Legitimacy through GenAI, Media, and the Social Influence of IKN Discourse in France and Indonesia.” It contains supplementary materials and appendices that provide transparency and replicability for the study. The dataset includes the following files: Appendix 1: List of Selected Indonesian News Appendix 2: List of Selected French News Appendix 3: List of Figures Appendix 4: List of Tables Appendix 5: Selected Excerpts from NVivo related to ChatGPT Responses on the Positive Portrayals of IKN in Indonesian Media Appendix 6: Selected Excerpts from NVivo related to ChatGPT Responses on the Positive Portrayals of IKN in French Media Appendix 7: Selected Excerpts from NVivo related to ChatGPT Responses on the Negative Portrayals of IKN in Indonesian Media Appendix 8: Selected Excerpts from NVivo related to ChatGPT Responses on the Negative Portrayals of IKN in French Media These materials were generated and analyzed using NVivo qualitative data analysis software and GenAI-assisted responses (ChatGPT). They provide supporting evidence for the discourse analysis of media portrayals of Indonesia’s new capital (IKN) in French and Indonesian contexts. The dataset can be used for further comparative discourse studies, replication of the analysis, and teaching purposes in media and sociolinguistic research.
