Pseudomonas protegens Pf-5 competition TraDIS controls

The study of microbial competition often has focused on the antimicrobial secondary metabolites and proteins/peptides produced by an organism. Here the defensive mechanisms and structures used by the competitive rhizosphere bacteria Pseudomonas protegens Pf-5 to defend itself from the excreted antimicrobials and proteins/peptides of competitor microbes is examined. The use of a TraDIS saturation transposon mutant library of Pf-5 has allowed for the simultaneous examination of all genes in the genome needed for survival of antimicrobial compounds produced by a diverse range of soil/rhizosphere competitors. This project contains the control data for P. protegens Pf-5 TraDIS competition experiments.
