Flood in Italy (2025-09-22)

On 22 September 2025 at the early hours of the morning, a severe storm was reported to have affected northern Italy, particularly the Lombardy region, including the city of Milan and its surroundings. The event was ongoing and spreading, with significant flooding reported due to the overflow of the Seveso River, affecting multiple municipalities, damaging buildings, infrastructure, and urban areas. Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping was requested to provide flood extent and damage assessment emergency mapping.
