The supporting information is to go with the manuscript to be published in the Tectonics entitled "İzmir-Ankara suture as a Triassic to Cretaceous plate boundary – data from central Anatolia" It includes microphotographs from the Sakarya Shear Zone (Fig. S1), and geochronological analytical data from muscovite and biotite Ar‐Ar analyses (Table S1) and zircon U‐Pb (Table S2). Figure S1 shows photomicrographs from the metagranites in the Sakarya Shear Zone illustrating the mylonitic texture and the dextral shear sense. Table S1 includes muscovite and biotite Ar-Ar analyses from 12 samples from the Karakaya Complex, ophiolitic mélange and the Beypazarı Granite. Micas were dated using the Ar–Ar single-grain fusion method at the Open University in the UK. Table S2 comprises zircon U‐Pb isotope data from six samples; the samples include the Permian metagabbro from the Karakaya Complex, Jurassic plagiogranite from the ophiolitic melange, greywacke from the ophiolitic mélange, and Beypazarı Granite. The zircons were analyzed using laser-ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICPMS) at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
