Sixty F1 seedlings from a cross between the European pear (Pyrus communis L.) cultivars ‘Old Home’ (OH) and ‘Louise Bonne de Jersey’ (LBJ) grafted onto Pyrus calleryana and growing in the Plant & Food Research orchard in Motueka, New Zealand (Knäbel et al. 2015), were employed for the detection of polymorphic SNPs for genetic map construction using genotyping by sequencing (GBS).The GBS libraries were prepared using restriction enzyme BamHI, and sequenced on two lanes of Illumina HiSeq2000 platform at Macrogen.
