Thermogravimetric analysis dataset of antioxidant phytochemicals

This dataset contains data obtained during research under the project "Phytochemicals as inhibitors of polylactide's photooxidation and thermoxidation" No. SONATA-20 2024/55/D/ST11/01323, financed by the Polish National Science Centre. This dataset consists of data obtained from thermogravimetric analyses of 50 antioxidant compounds. Thermogravimetric analysis was performed using Netzsch TG 209 F1 Libra. Samples were placed in aluminium oxide crucibles in amounts of 10 ± 0.5 mg for compounds in the solid state at ambient temperature and 20 ± 0.5 mg for samples in the liquid state. The temperature program included heating at a constant rate of 10 °C/min from 30 °C to 900 °C. For tests in an inert atmosphere, the nitrogen flow was 30 ml/min, with a protective nitrogen flow of 30 ml/min. For tests performed in an oxidative atmosphere, the oxygen flow was 15 ml/min and nitrogen 45 ml/min with 30 ml/min of protective flow of nitrogen. Each .txt file contains information about time, temperature, mass loss and gas flows recorded during the tests and the first derivative of the thermogravimetric curve calculated using Proteus 8.0.3. software.
