Gastrodia elata Blume extract improves high-fat diet-induced type 2 diabetes by regulating gut microbiota and bile acid metabolism

We used 16S rRNA sequencing with bile acid metabolomics to find that GEB extract (GEBE) improved the intestinal microbiota and increased serum secondary bile acid levels in high-fat diet (HFD)-induced mice, as well as GLUT4 expression on white adipose tissue (WAT) and improved insulin resistance in the organism.

本研究采用16S rRNA测序联合胆汁酸代谢组学技术，发现GEB提取物（GEBE）能够改善高脂饮食（HFD）诱导小鼠的肠道菌群结构，并提升血清中次级胆汁酸水平，同时促进白色脂肪组织（WAT）中GLUT4的表达，并改善机体的胰岛素抵抗。
