School attachment and internet addiction

The main hypothesis of the study was that there is a negative relationship between dimensions of attachment to school and Internet addiction. The data includes 525 respondents who are high school students in Kosovo, from whom data was collected with a questionnaire on the relationship between the dimensions of attachment to school and internet addiction. The data includes: demographic data, data related to school engagement in 5 dimensions, as well as data related to internet addiction. In the demographic part there are 8 questions, in the part about internet addiction there are 9 questions and for attachment to the school there are 24 questions divided into 5 dimensions. Responses to the Internet addiction scale require responses on a Likert scale: never, rarely, sometimes, often, and always. And those in the questionnaire for attachment to the school are also according to the Likert scale: 1 (strongly disagree), 2 (strongly disagree), 3 (strongly agree), 4 (strongly agree) and 5 (strongly agree). The results of the study suggest that there is a weak negative significant relationship between Internet addiction and dimensions of attachment to school, such as with feelings about school (- 0.283), interest in learning (- 0. 138), attitudes towards teachers (- 0.123 ) and students. school perception (- 0.274). But there was no significant relationship between internet addiction and attitudes towards students (0.058).
