The data provided here were used to generate a comprehensive transcriptome atlas for the enteric neurons and glia of adult mice. Myenteric neurons and glia were isolated from the duodenum, ileum, and colon of adult Phox2b-CFP mice (P42-52) using FACS. Nuclei were subjected to bulk RNA-Seq and differential Expression analysis was performed between enteric neurons and glia as well as those derived from different gut segments in order to identify neuron-specific genes in each gut region
