Data and script for "Tracking data as an alternative to resighting data for inferring population ranges"

This Figshare entry contains data and code for "Tracking data as an alternative to resighting data for inferring population ranges".
"Linssen_2024_JBiogeo_data.RData" provides the necessary data and one custom function, and can be opened directly into the R environment.
"Linssen_2024_JBiogeo_metadata.json" contains metadata information on the data tables included in the RData file.
"Linssen_2024_JBiogeo_script.R" provides the script which can be run, once the data is loaded, to reproduce the results.

"rings.csv", "rings_resightingrate.csv", "tracks.csv" and "tracks_resightingrate" are the .csv versions of the data tables in "Linssen_2024_JBiogeo_data.RData".
These files are not needed to run the analysis (as the .RData file already includes them), but they are included to ensure long-term reproducibility across platforms.
