Experimental data of OHA/GEL from large-strain multimodal mechanical testing and magnetic resonance elastography

The dataset contains experimental data of 3.75%/3.75% OHA/GEL hydrogels measured with large strain multimodal mechanical testing and magnetic resonance elastography for testing temperatures of 26°C and 37°C. Large strain multimodal (LSMM): The testing protocol includes three cycles of compression with 15% stretch and a loading velocity of 40 µm s-1 (_CyclicCompression), compression relaxation with 15% stretch, a loading velocity of 100 µm s-1, and holding period 300 s (_RelaxCompression), and three cycles of torsional shear with a shear strain of 5% and a loading rate of 0.333 rad s-1 (_CyclicalTorsion.txt). The data has been filtered (moving average) and split into each loading mode. The samples were cylindrical and the height and diameter of each sample are given in the _Dimension.txt file. Magnetic resonance elastography (MRE): Storage and loss modulus for frequencies between 500 to 2400 Hz (37°C) and 700 to 2400 Hz (24°C). Individual frequency points suffered from an inefficient wave stimulation, leading to unphysical values for the storage and loss modulus; these data points were consequently excluded from the measurement.
