Characterization of Antibiotic-Resistant Stenotrophomonas Isolates from Painted Turtles Living in the Wild

The purpose of this study was to determine if painted turtles (Chrysemys picta) living in the wild, captured in southeastern Wisconsin, were colonized with extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) producing bacteria, and further characterize those isolates.
