Isolation and characterisation of environmental bacteriophages from river and waste water with bactericidal effect on antibiotic resistant ESKAPEE Pathogens in South western Uganda

The study goals involve isolation of bacteriophages and their lytic profile from river and wastewater samples in South-western Uganda, characterization of selected ESKAPEEE clinical isolates from Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital using whole genome sequencing, characterization of environmental bacteriophages isolated from river and wastewater in South-western Uganda, and in-vitro evaluation of phage activity against antibiotic-resistant clinical ESKAPEEE isolates.
