This dataset supports a mixed-methods longitudinal research project investigating the short-term and sustained effects of an online gamified platform on primary students' reading motivation. The study utilizes a staggered-start design, dividing approximately 267 primary school students into three distinct cohorts (Groups A, B, and C) who were introduced to the platform at different stages.The submitted files comprise both quantitative and qualitative data collected across five distinct timepoints (T0 to T4). The quantitative component includes self-reported questionnaire data that measures students' reading motivation, amotivation, and their direct feedback regarding the gamification features. Alongside this, objective platform data was extracted to track actual reading behaviors, including the number of books read, usage duration, and points earned within the system. The qualitative component consists of full-text transcripts from semi-structured interviews conducted with students from each of the three cohorts, providing deeper context into their reading experiences and engagement levels.To ensure the strict protection of this vulnerable participant group, all personally identifiable information, including names, emails, and passwords, has been thoroughly redacted and replaced with anonymized numeric identifiers.
