SEALING DEVICES IN HYDRAULIC PRESSES AND PUMPS OF THE COTTON GINING INDUSTRY

In presses and hydraulic pumps of cotton plants, mainly seals of the cuff type are used. Packing (stuffing) sealing devices are rarely used, since their service life is less than lip seals. The V-shaped cuffs offered by us, made of polyvinyl chloride plastic compound (a substitute for scarce chrome leather), reliably seal under the conditions of operation of a press or pump on a liquid whose temperature during operation does not exceed 60 ℃ at a plunger speed not higher than 10 m / min, since at temperatures above the specified level of cuffs quickly fails.
