The goal of the project GENOPARFUM was to develop molecular resources for L. angustifolia useful for molecular breeding strategies, population genetic studies, varieties certification and beyond.The transcriptome of the clone Maillette was used to perform a de novo RNAseq assembly. A total of 66 million of Illumina paired-reads sequences was assembled in a set of 10060 contigs. All these contigs (hereafter called the reference Unigene) are annotated thanks to a BlastX alignement against the SwissProt database.In order to recover the whole gene sequences - exons and introns- the iPEA protocol, as described in Aluome et al. 2016, was applied to our reference Unigene. The DNAseq reads obtained from the leaves of the clone Maillette were aligned against the reference Unigene and a targeted iterative DNAseq assembly was performed to insert intronic regions between exons of the contigs of the Unigene. This resulted in the construction of a Gene space compound of a set of 8032 annotated genes of L. angustifolia. The Genespace was then use as a reference to discover SNP markers into L. angustifolia genes sequences.
