Stable isotope values (‰) of carbon (δ13C) and nitrogen (δ15N) in tissues of reintroduced Scottish raptors.

Stable isotope ratios were measured in feather keratin (P1) and bone collagen from museum specimens of red kites Milvus milvus and white-tailed eagles Halieaeetus albicilla. Data are grouped according to whether the specimen collection date corresponded to pre- or post-reintroduction to Britain. Values are means (± SDs) with minimum and maximum values in parentheses. SEAc = standard ellipse areas (‰2) corrected for small samples; TA = the total area (‰2) of convex hulls. δ13C values were corrected for the Suess effect. Analytical errors for bone collagen were ±0.07 ‰ and ±0.13 ‰ for δ13C and δ15N values, and ±0.09 ‰ and ±0.15 ‰ for feather keratin.
