Quantification of 16S copies in culture-negative, culture-positive, and respiratory tract flora (RTF) for bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) samples.

Patients who were on antibiotics at the time of BAL are denoted with an asterisk next to BAL ID #. Pathology results are the results of BAL which were used for treatment clinically. Copy number of 16S is denoted at copies per microliter +/- standard error of the mean (SEM).
