Dataset of SEM Analysis and Questionnaire Responses on SMED Implementation and Sustainability in the Maquiladora Industry

This dataset accompanies the article “Integrating SMED and Systems Thinking to Enhance Economic and Environmental Performance: Evidence from the Maquiladora Industry.” It includes:The raw questionnaire responses collected from 349 participants in the maquiladora industry of Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.The cleaned dataset prepared for Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).Supplementary information used for the validation of latent variables and model estimation.The dataset supports the reproducibility of the empirical results and enables further research on the relationship between lean manufacturing practices, specifically Single-Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), and sustainability outcomes.Researchers may use this data to replicate the SEM results, perform secondary analysis, or extend the investigation into low-carbon operations, resource efficiency, waste reduction, and energy performance in manufacturing.
