Developmental behavioural plasticity and DNA methylation patterns in response to predation stress in Trinidadian guppies

We investigated the impact of an early life exposure to alarm cue on DNA methylation patterns in the brain in adulthood in the Trinidadian guppy (Poecilia reticulata). Guppies were exposed to either alarm cue or control cue for 8 weeks during early development, then raised to adulthood without cue exposure. Then, brains were extracted and whole genome bisulfites sequencing was done to identify differences in DNA methylation between treatments.
