Local business directory coverage for 13 verticals added in September 2026

One row per industry, 13 local business verticals whose guides went live on 2026-09-25: roofers, garage door companies, tree service companies, solar installers, med spas, home care agencies, car rental companies, tattoo studios, tutoring centers, furniture stores, manufacturers, farms and bakeries/cafes. For each row: the number of online directory sources a curated 1,100+ source catalog maps to that vertical, how many are free to list on, the median domain rating across the sources that carry a rating, the count of sources at domain rating 70 or higher, how many of the sources are global anchors shared by every industry, and the strongest named sources by domain rating. Method. Computed on 2026-09-25 through the same per-industry relevance ranking that renders the public directory catalog by industry. The median is taken over rated sources only, because most catalog rows carry no domain rating; the rated_sources column is the denominator. Domain ratings are the values stored in the catalog at snapshot time. Three of the rows, roofers, garage door companies and tree service companies, draw on separate catalog industries (contractors, tradespersons, gardening/landscaping) but share an identical top-eight source list and rated/global-anchor counts: the national trades layer is one shared tier across all three, only the total source count differs. The dataset accompanies a guide series that interprets each row individually, for example local SEO for med spas (the highest median domain rating of the batch, 80, carried by healthcare-adjacent directories such as Healthgrades and Doctolib), local SEO for home care agencies (98% free, the highest free share) and local SEO for farms and farm shops (a 24-source catalog carried mostly by the 16 global anchors, with no farm-specific directory layer yet). Findings visible in the table. Free share ranges from 70% (solar installers) to 98% (home care agencies). Six of the thirteen verticals, home care, car rental, tutoring centers, manufacturers, farms and bakeries/cafes, carry only 22 to 48 catalog sources with 9 or fewer rated, meaning global anchors account for most of their top-rated coverage: for these the directory layer is thin and the ranking work sits on the business profile and reviews rather than niche directories. Med spas is the outlier in the other direction, 24 sources at domain rating 70 or higher out of 81, because it draws on the same high-authority healthcare directory tier as dentists and doctors.
