Federal Agency for Nature Conservation: Marine Protected Areas (WMS)

WMS Map Service of Marine Protected Areas in Germany. The harmonised data sets of protected areas are brought together by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation once a year from the data sets of the federal states and the federal government. In doing so, the territorial boundaries shall be, where necessary, at the course of the federal borders of the data base administrative borders: 25,000 (VG 25, BKG) adjusted. In the service of the marine protected areas, as an extract from these total data sets, only protected areas with a marine part of flares are presented. Status of the data: FFH areas (2019), bird sanctuaries (2019), national parks (2022), nature reserves (2020), biosphere reserves (2022), nature parks (2022), landscape conservation areas (2020).
