资源简介:
Five seagliders (SG127, SG510, SG579, SG613 and SG620) were deployed between 15 JAN 2022 and 22 FEB 2022 in the Amundsen Sea for the following projects: Climate-relevant Ocean Measurements and Processes on the Antarctic continental Shelf and Slope (COMPASS), Thwaites-Amundsen Regional Survey and Network Integrating Atmosphere-Ice-Ocean Processes (TARSAN) and Accelerating Thwaites Ecosystem Impactsfor the Southern Ocean (ARTEMIS). The gliders were deployed from the RVIB Nathaniel B Palmer during the research cruise NBP2202. The campaign aimed to investigate the interannual variability of slope currents, and to extend the long-term observational coverage of the Amundsen Sea, where many of the most rapidly melting ice shelves terminate. This dataset presents the temperature and salinity observations from these gliders. The seagliders were prepared and piloted by the University of East Anglia.
