Soil eDNA in East-Antarctica

Here we aimed to optimize the workflow of eDNA metabarcoding by comparing different sampling, DNA extraction and library preparation protocols. Soil samples were collected in Stornes Peninsula, Larsermann Hills, East Antarctica. Our results provide useful methodological insights for the use of soil eDNA metabarcoding in Antarctica and other low-biomass sampling regions.
