Performance and workflow comparison of the VITEK MS PRIME and Bruker Biotyper MALDI-TOF MS systems

MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry systems can quickly identify microorganisms isolated from clinical specimens. This study evaluated the performance the VITEK MS PRIME against the Bruker MALDI Biotyper CA System. Microorganisms that yielded discrepant IDs on the two instruments were sequenced to resolve the correct identification results.
