Schistosoma mansoni population exomics (Oman)

In this project, we sequenced exomes from schistosomes (individual adults and cercariae) obtained from patient stools from Oman in order to have a comprehensive view of the natural variation in coding regions of the parasite genome.We specifically analyzed variation in the SmSULT-OR gene , the gene involved in oxamniquine resistance. An exome-wide analysis using these samples is on going.
