BETA-FOR_SP9_Heteroptera_2022/2023

This dataset includes records of true bug species (Heteroptera) collected using flight interception traps across the 234 BETA-FOR patches. Two traps were installed 7 meters from the center of each patch, positioned in the northwest and southeast. Traps were emptied at the end of May, June, and July.

Sampling was conducted in 2022 for 90 patches in the University Forest and 90 patches in the Bavarian Forest. In 2023, 54 patches located in Saarland, Hunsrück, and Lübeck were sampled.

All collected samples were sorted and sent to taxonomists for identification. Any bycatch present in the samples was also identified and is included in the dataset.
