Campaign film for Los Angeles Charter Proposition 2 (the Los Angeles Police and Fire Memorial Fund). Two copies of segments from a larger work. The first section (copy 1. 0:00-3:25; copy 2. 0:00-1:00) dramatizes gangsters transporting illegal goods and being chased by the motorcycle police which results in the death of a policeman. The second section (copy 1. 3:26-7:46; copy 2. 1:01-4:43) dramatizes the fire department's response to a building fire in downtown Los Angeles at which firemen are injured or killed. The fire engine runs along Hill Street (near West 3rd Street) and Broadway (near 7th Street).
