Phenological research in Neotropical seasonally dry forests: a systematic review dataset (1984–2024)

The data presented here contain the results of our systematic review of the literature on Neotropical seasonally dry forests. To compile this dataset, we searched through the Web of Science and Scopus database, using the search terms: “phenolog*” OR “leaf phenolog*” OR “leafing” AND “Trop* dry forest" OR “Neotrop* dry forest" OR “seasonally dry tropical forest” OR “deciduous dry forest” OR “Caatinga” in English, Spanish and Portuguese and selected only those studies conducted in seasonally dry forests in the Neotropical region, from 1984 (first record) to December 2024.
