Xanthomonas phaseoli pv. manihotis strain:CIO59 Genome sequencing and assembly

Genome characterization and pathogenicity evaluation of two strains of Xanthomonas phaseoli pv. manihotis (Xam), the causal agent of Cassava Bacterial Blight (CBB). CBB is the major bacterial disease limitation to cassava cultivation in most cassava growing-areas South America, Africa and Asia. The symptoms and signs of CBB include angular leaf spots, blight, wilting, vascular necrosis of the stem, dieback, production of exudates and plant death.
