Three metal transfer modes were applied in the gas metal arc welding for wire arc additive manufacturing of Ti-6Al-4V alloy. Three high-speed videos of the metal transfer process were shot, the utilized transfer modes were: Cold Metal Transfer (CMT) mode, controlled short-circuiting (CSC) mode and a conventional mode at a direct current with the negative electrode (DCEN). The videos are named accordingly to the abbreviations of the metal transfer modes.
