Pieces of advice parents gave to their children regarding online ads in Brazil 2023

As of July 2023, around 78 percent of parents and guardians surveyed in Brazil said they told their children aged nine to 17 not to see some types of online advertisement. The same share reported explaining them the purpose of those ads. Less than 30 percent stated using filters or settings to restrict their children's contact with ads on the internet. According to the same study, nearly 50 percent of online children in Brazil accessed ads inappropriate for their age.
