Comparison of changes in mRNA expression profiles in arteries and heart valves in rabbit models of dietary lipid-triggered cardiovascular diseases

We report RNA-seq data obtained on dissected aorta and four heart valves from rabbits fed with chow diet (n=7), cholesterol-rich diet (n=6) or lard-rich diet (n=7). Rabbits that received cardiac irradiation combined with the cholesterol-rich diet were also included (n=7). mRNA expression was analyzed in 5 tissues for all rabbit groups.
