Microbial communities of produced fluid spiked alluvial aquifer sediment microcosms

Alluvial aquifer sediments from Colorado were spiked with produced fluid from hydraulically fractured wells at different time points, capped, and allowed to proceed anoxic. Samples are from time points up to 90 days after spiking occurred. This study models what could happen in the case of a produced fluid spill by examining polyglycols and microbial communities in microcosms.
