In order to map crossovers and non-crossovers in synaptonemal complex mutants I made these mutants in both the bristol and Hawaiian strains of C. elegans. I then crossed these two isolated F1s and backcrossed these to the Hawaiian parental strain and isolated F2s to isolate single meiotic events. These F2s genomes were sequenced and all SNPs were analyzed to determine CO and NCO locations
