资源简介:
In this collection, you can find the following datasets from the BARICO study: (1) raw and normalized gene counts from a subset of 10 randomly selected obese patients undergoing Roux-and-Y gastric bypass surgery (BS) and 10 normal weight controls; (2) raw and normalized gene counts from monocytes stimulated with both subcutaneous (SAT) and visceral (VAT) adipose tissue at the pre-BS and post-BS time-point; (3) sample list containing the study participants IDs and stimulation conditions when applicable. The BARICO is an observational case-cohort study cohort study composed of twenty-seven patients with obesity (age 46.8 ± 6) who underwent BS in the period 2019-2020 and 20 normal weight subjects (age 43.4 ± 6). It aims to study the persistence of innate immune cell hyper-responsiveness following BS surgery and explore the potential contribution of adipose tissue in stimulation monocyte functions.
