FDU-BTR: A global monthly gridded pCO2 product (1982-2024)

The relevant articles and datasets are currently under review. FDU-BTR is a global monthly gridded surface-ocean pCO₂ dataset covering January 1982 to December 2024. The dataset provides 516 monthly fields on a regular 1° × 1° latitude–longitude grid. The spatial grid contains 180 latitude points from 89.5° S to 89.5° N and 360 longitude points from 179.5° W to 179.5° E. Each monthly field is represented by a mid-month timestamp. Time is stored using a Gregorian calendar as days since 00:00:00 UTC on 1 January 1950. The primary variable is: - `pCO2`: surface-ocean partial pressure of carbon dioxide- Unit: µatm- Dimensions: time × latitude × longitude- Data type: single precision Land grid cells and invalid ocean grid cells are stored as NaN. The dataset is distributed in NetCDF format and follows CF-1.8 and ACDD-1.3 metadata conventions. The dataset is intended for basin-scale to global analyses of monthly to interannual surface-ocean pCO₂ variability, long-term trends, product intercomparison, and open-ocean air–sea CO₂ flux assessment.
