This project aimed to investigate gene expression changes associated with amitraz and chlorfenapyr resistance via differential gene expresson analysis.To do this, illumina RNA-seq data was collected from a moderately resistant Ethiopian field strain Holeta-2 (HP), which was further selected in the lab with chlorfenapyr and amitraz to result in the highlyresistant strains HPC(exp) and HPA(exp), respectively. Suffix "exp" indicates the strain was continuously exposed to the acaricides prior to RNA extraction.As a control the susceptible lab strain Londen (LON) and the susceptible Ethiopian field strain Jimma Wild (JW) were used.
