Sample metadata from Deception Island samples obtained from volcanic transects

Sample metadata obtained for soils and moss samples collected in Deception Island, Maritime Antarctica, collected in the Austral Summer of 2023. Sample metadata includes parameters taken in situ at the moment of sample collection (soil temperature, soil conductivity and soil CO2 flux), geographic coordinates and transect location (MP = Mount Pond, CC = Cerro Caliente, and MB = Mount Beasly). Other paramters, including major ions, nutrients, and trace elements, pH, soil water content (or humidity) and low molecular mass organic acids (LMMOAs) were obtained through different analytical methods at the Czech University of Life Science's Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and natural Resources (Prague, Czech Republic).
