资源简介:
This data release contains a set of data files and scripts related to simulating winter and spring energetics and migration of mallards (Anas platyrhynchos) originating in northern Arkansas, USA as they travel to breeding areas in the Prairie Pothole Region. The simulation results are then re-simulated with the addition of hypothetical oil spills on the wintering ground. Key data files include daily temperature averages, migration schedules for simulated mallards, results from migration and energetics simulations prior to applying oil spill effects, and results from re-simulated migration and energetics of mallards after exposure to hypothetical oil spills and oiling scenarios. The oil spills occur on either 23 January or 6 March, and one of the two January spills involves a 14-day migration delay. Oiling scenarios included trace and light oiling with various effects of oiling on energetics. The scripts process various datasets to generate migration schedules, create baseline migration and energetics simulations, and simulate the impacts of oil spills on mallard energetics, body mass, and mortality.
