To further reveal the mitigation mechanism of NO on watermelon aluminum stress, the differences of normal growth, Al and Al+NO were revealed using de novo sequencing of transcriptomes. A total of 511 differentially expressed genes(DEGs) in the Al+NO compared with Al treatment were identified. The biological processes in those DEGs are significantly enriched in nitrogen metabolism, phenylpropane metabolism and photosynthesis.
