Data and scripts for: On Thermalization in a Nonlinear Variant of the Discrete NLS Equation

This deposit contains the data and scripts associated with the manuscript “On Thermalization in a Nonlinear Variant of the Discrete NLS Equation” (Kati et al.). Version 1 contains the raw numerical data originally used to generate Figures 1–6. After the insertion of a new Figure 4 in Version 3 of the manuscript/record, these original datasets now correspond to Figures 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7. Version 2 extends the original release by adding the data, Python scripts, and analytic-method documentation used for Figure 8. In particular, the Figure 8 material contains the scripts and generated data for the analytic m-site compacton energy calculations up to m = 100, including the staggered and in-phase reduced energies H_m(D)/A^2, the support size m that maximizes H_{m,stag}(D), and the support size m that minimizes H_{m,in}(D). The analytic derivation note for Figure 8 is also included in both LaTeX and PDF form (compacton_energy_method.tex and compacton_energy_method.pdf). A README and supporting notes are included to map datasets and scripts to the corresponding figures, panels, and parameter values.
