Note: Genotypes were expressed in RFLP nomenclature: uppercase letters denote the absence of a restriction site, while lowercase letters indicate the presence of a restriction site. In other words, VDR genotypes of each subject were identified according to the digestion pattern, and alleles were identified according to the presence (f or b) or absence (F or B) of the FokI and BsmI sites, respectively.
